A crisp Maui dawn, it was a Keawakapu kind of morning. A snorkel after breakfast. What will the ocean share today? Time to see under the sea. Within moments as the swim out began a large honu quickly made its way along the sandy bottom. No time to stop and smile for the camera. A short way further and this second little guy cruised along the edge of the reef. Circling around diving and gliding and giving us a look. As it moved on this large trigger fish popped by to share some Aloha.
Like natures Christmas lights Maui put some magic in this holiday eve. Admiring the the fading Sun's painting on the sky when something spurred me to look behind. This cool double rainbow appeared. Finished out by a colorful fading of the sun on the horizon. Anticipating the gifts Maui will bring on this next special day.
Headed towards town for usual errands when Maui grabbed me to stop and see the magic. A relaxing and revitalizing North Kihei sunset closing out daylight. Possibly sensing the need for a break as there was much more to do. Aloha Friday woke to the sound of birds and the fresh Maui air. Time to prepare to head into Wailuku and document my son and bandmates radio interview. Driving into Waikapu this golden misty mountain view was a tasty treat for slowly waking eyes. Uplifting and exhilarating it energized and illuminated an expansive feeling to the day!
Decided to visit this beach on the way back from working in Haiku. Hadn't been there in years. What a surprise to pull up after the long drive down the road back there and see a rainbow form from a small area to bigger arch. When I headed down the beach the other way a turtle was walking to the water and then swam off. A beautiful way to bring in the evening courtesy of Maui!
Loved Maui since the first time here and now it's home. Been convincing people to experience the magic here for years. This place makes you feel so alive and in awe of the beauty. You can look at the same places everyday and see something new. Also you run into interesting people and share good stories and times unexpectedly. This is something that needs to be shared, so here we are! It won't document everything, but things where getting a photo or having the time to write it down is possible will be posted here. Aloha and Mahalo from Maui.
