A quick morning snorkel at Keawakapu was the way to start off the day. After covering some distance around the reef full of fish there it was on the bottom sand, Turtle number one. As it swam out of view the journey back to shore began. Coming up from the bottom was Turtle number two. A ways further and there was Turtle number three.
Rainbows pop up frequently on Maui. The first in Kihei while headed toward N. Kihei Rd. The second headed to Kihei on Mokulele Hwy. This one actually had faint sunrays and a bold fairly narrow band of a rainbow in the clouds instead of an arch. First time to see one like that.
Holiday snorkel at Makena gave us a visual treat. Look at how blue the water was around the turtle and in the second photo you can see rays of light shining on it. Also got a shot of a stick fish which usually don't show up well. And last but not least a nice yellow and white striped fish.
Loved Maui since the first time here and now it's home. Been convincing people to experience the magic here for years. This place makes you feel so alive and in awe of the beauty. You can look at the same places everyday and see something new. Also you run into interesting people and share good stories and times unexpectedly. This is something that needs to be shared, so here we are! It won't document everything, but things where getting a photo or having the time to write it down is possible will be posted here. Aloha and Mahalo from Maui.
