A friend told us about people shooting off their own fireworks at Keawakapu beach as a fun alternative to the main show in Lahaina. We thought we'd check out this more local grown approach and catch a sunset at a nice beach. It was a great time and we will go back next year!
After an exhausting day of working in Haiku on cane grass and landscape we stopped in Paia to clean up and change for errands. After jumping in for a quick swim we got out totally energized and ready to charge. This is the type of magic and rejuvenation of Maui. As we made our way to the parking lot we saw this crazy colorful rooster strutting around. Chickens and roosters run wild here, but this guy was unique. One of the most colorful we've seen. Thank you Maui!
Loved Maui since the first time here and now it's home. Been convincing people to experience the magic here for years. This place makes you feel so alive and in awe of the beauty. You can look at the same places everyday and see something new. Also you run into interesting people and share good stories and times unexpectedly. This is something that needs to be shared, so here we are! It won't document everything, but things where getting a photo or having the time to write it down is possible will be posted here. Aloha and Mahalo from Maui.
