Being close to the waters edge has it's benefits and this day was yet another. See many cool sunsets and this one the clouds made cool changes and then it began raining in sections along parts of the west Maui mountains. Always something new to see as Maui keeps working it's magic.
Got off work and decided to get a little different view of the end of daylight. Headed to one of the Kamaole beaches in South Kihei. The wind created waves that crashed on the lava rock for a golden splashing display. Once the sun drops below the horizon many people leave. The magic is still happening and with the soothing tropical breeze and soothing music of the ocean it lures those that know to stay for the rest of the show.
Nothing like starting the day off with some Maui magic! Paddled out without my camera and shortly thereafter appeared a stunning rainbow. It hung around as the wind gusted and some waves were ridden. The rainbow slowly began fading as the wind blew harder. The wind cried photo me for the rainbow. I heeded the call and got these less spectacular than reality shots, but you get the idea. The drive home had lots of cool mist in the various mountain sections. Snapped a quickie to post on here.
I'm not a big fan of fast food, but this place has some great Hawaiian tropical fruit flavored tea. Filled up my cup and headed out only to run into these cool chicks having a bite to eat with a couple of watchful chaperones.
Loved Maui since the first time here and now it's home. Been convincing people to experience the magic here for years. This place makes you feel so alive and in awe of the beauty. You can look at the same places everyday and see something new. Also you run into interesting people and share good stories and times unexpectedly. This is something that needs to be shared, so here we are! It won't document everything, but things where getting a photo or having the time to write it down is possible will be posted here. Aloha and Mahalo from Maui.
