Driving back from Wailuku by the Tropical Plantation were these cool rain clouds in the mountains. It's always fascinating to see how the mist and clouds get pulled into the crevices of the West Maui Mountains. All the rain turns them vibrant shades of green.
Every year they have an Art of Trash event where artists exhibit various pieces they create from trash. This year a friend was exhibiting, so we went down to check it out. He made a fish from discarded and shredded hard drives. There were guitars made with mufflers which apparently were actually played by the creators one night. There were many so many cool and creative items. Heres a few. The event runs through April 29th at the Maui Mall.
Loved Maui since the first time here and now it's home. Been convincing people to experience the magic here for years. This place makes you feel so alive and in awe of the beauty. You can look at the same places everyday and see something new. Also you run into interesting people and share good stories and times unexpectedly. This is something that needs to be shared, so here we are! It won't document everything, but things where getting a photo or having the time to write it down is possible will be posted here. Aloha and Mahalo from Maui.
